Friends of Different Species

The small bird perched itself on the large rhinoceros' horn without any hesitation or fear. This is a unique reminder of how animals of different species often get along harmoniously.

But, we humans do not understad that there are no perfect friends. Often the more we expect from each other, the more we are disappointed. Many good friends do not understand this principle. Hence they lose their friendship. We sometimes even take out loved ones for granted.

"Our lips and teeth are so close, and yet sometimes we accidentally bite our lips. Does this mean we should pull out our teeth?"

How can we maintain our good friendships? We should be like these animals who understand and accept each other's strengths and weaknesses

GOT BACK CHINESE O LEVEL RESULTS TODAY!
guess wat grade did i get? I GOT a B3!! DOG MY CATS! THANKS GOD SO MUCH!
initially, i thought i will at most get C5 or at least get a D7 cos i dint do well for my listening compre and my paper 1 & 2. BUT I GOT B3. it's beyond my expectations. usually, my standard is somewhere around C5 and C6. NOW I GOT B3! BREAKTHROUGH! MUAHAHHAHAH

14th august

7 out of 11 periods of maths today! and i'm planning not to retake chinese paper! my tcher advice me not to retake too!

15th august

english o level oral today. IT'S DAMN TOUGH! shall update the next time. gotta go watch " why why love " now!! seeya

NATIONAL DAY!

" MAJULAH~ SINGAPURA~ MAJULAH SINGAPURA~!"

dint manage to catch the national day parade on the TV. went out with bros and mommy to orchard. initially wanted to go Marina Square to shop and then see if can catch the fireworks but me and ivan played scissors, paper, stone. if i won, go MSq. if ivan won, go orchard. so ivan won and thus, went to orchard.

each of us bought stuffs. i've bought a white skinny jeans. i love it very much but i'm just too fat. gotta shrink 2 more kg! hahaha. ivan and john bought a formal top. (maybe they're kiasu-ing preparing the attire to wear for my cousin's wedding dinner in mid sept)
my mommy also bought a new black top. All from far east plaza.

after that, dine at food republic as my aunt texted my mommy saying that their sotong mee's yummy.

1o august

morning woke up. played badminton with ivan and john. then went to westmall to buy movie tix (THE SECRET) and then book seat for buffet sakae. left about 45mins to go before the movie starts so we stroll around. went to the VCD shop and look around for new dramas. saw a new korean drama series. seems nice but i gotta concentrate on my studies! cant buy. gotta wait till O- lvl ends :(

11 august

got hiphop at 12pm. did i update before that my hiphop instructor changed? beaven is not teaching anymore. for now, andrea (from the platinum, the dance floor) will be teaching us for about 6 weeks.

evening went to ah yi's hse tgt with mommy, ivan and john. ivan's going back to tekong after ah yi's hse. he will be booking out most prob this coming fri. left 3 more weeks to his POP! sweeeee!

at ah yi's house.. ordered pizza and watched MR BEAN'S HOLIDAY! DAMN SO FUNNY! but actually it's more of foolishy then funny. mr bean's really happy go lucky or unlucky go lucky. hah haha

3 days past and 2 more weeks to prelims.. about 2 more months to O-level. JIAYOU!

some people may thinks that friends are not everything that makes up their life.
but i think it is. and i've done a small research.

"Friendship is an important part of social interaction process and child’s healthy development. The environment in which children are brought up is critical for the development of their personality and instincts. Friendship influences individual's personality, perceptions and motivations of children, it influences moral and emotional development of children. Experiences whether positive or negative impinge upon the rate of social and psychological development. As the most important, social interactions with peers help children to develop their communication and learning skills. The aim of the paper is to examine and illustrate the role and importance of friendship in childhood, and its impact on social interaction between children.

Friendship is defined as “a dynamic, reciprocal relationship between two individuals. As children become friends, they negotiate boundaries within which both partners function”. Cognitive mechanisms for dealing with the world - whether they are face recognition, language acquisition or emotional development - will not appear of their own accord. Just like the development of a child, the process of evolution is intertwined with the growth of culture, and 'culture' began well before evolution finally shaped people.

Children everywhere are socialized by their peer group, not by their parents. At all ages children join various play groups, circles, and they jockey for status within them. Each is a culture that absorbs some customs from the outside and generates many of its own. As children grow up they graduate from group to group and eventually join adult groups. Prestige at one level gives one a leg up at the next; most significantly, the leaders of young adolescent cliques are the first to date. At all ages children are driven to figure out what it takes to succeed among their peers and to give these strategies precedence over others."

From my own point of view, i pity those whom thinks that friends aren't everything that makes up your life. Think about this. if friends doesnt make up your life, u wont be who u are now.

I think that sometimes when people values friendship too much, so much that when frens disappoint him/her or tell him/her off, the people will tend to trouble over it for a long time or think that the people will sure hate this friend. This will result you to misunderstand your friend. You may think that your friend take things for granted. But she might not be taking things for granted. She may look as if she dont care abt the quarrels or cold war u haf with her but maybe, in real life she care. maybe she even crying and feeling bad over it!

And if u think that by put your friends before you is stupid, i think it's not! FRIENDS ARE LIKE YOUR LIFE LONG PARTNER. THEY'RE LONGER THAN YOUR LIFE LONG PARTNER. when you're lonely or got abandon, who do u fine? when you're in trouble, who do u find? or when you wana share a good news to someone..who do u find? of course it's your friend or maybe you boyfriend but there sure must be a time when u dont haf a boyfriend. so sure u'll fine you good buddies or friends to share. to 一起度过酸甜苦辣的日子。
